The board position of Vice President is open for election in 2024 for the term of 2025 - 2026! Here is the description of the position from the Chapter Bylaws:
Bylaw 6, Section 3: The Vice President shall serve and fulfill the duties of the President of said Chapter in the absence of the President. The Vice President shall complete the President’s term in the event of an untimely vacancy of the President’s office.
What does that mean? It's a great opportunity to practice and demonstrate your leadership skills! The Vice President is a stakeholder in all Chapter Board activities, and a primary point of contact for the Chapter, working side-by-side with the Chapter President. The estimated time of commitment is 4 - 8 hours per month, which includes regularly scheduled Board meetings and any work needed between Chapter and Board meetings.
