Bylaws Vote Coming in September

The Northwest Arkansas IIBA Chapter has not updated its bylaws in several years. Since then, IIBA has introduced member harmonization and updated chapter standards.  Our chapter bylaws needed a refresh!

This draft has been reviewed by key members of the current Board, so that it may be voted on by the general Northwest Arkansas IIBA membership in September alongside our chapter officer elections.

What's different?

This revision introduces several operational changes. First, language is updated to explicitly align the chapter with IIBA globally, in particular with regards to membership dues. Most importantly, some operational aspects are delegated to a new Chapter Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) document, which will be managed and maintained by the elected chapter board.

The chapter SOPs do not need to be voted on by the membership; but by voting in favor of accepting the new Bylaws, members also acknowledge the introduction of the SOPs into our operations.

Voting on both officers for 2023 and Bylaws updates will take place September 29 - October 6 and will be held virtually.  All current members of the Northwest Arkansas IIBA Chapter are eligible to vote and will receive further information via email.

Results will be announced at the October chapter meeting.
